Welcome to County Durham DAAT

The last four years have seen substantial changes in the way that treatment services are offered in County Durham.   For people who have substance misuse and alcohol needs there are more opportunities to get appropriate care.  For this I would like to thank the staff that deliver these essential services.  These changes have included visible items like the new treatment centre in Newton Aycliffe.  They also include things that are less visible to service users but make a big difference to their care such as one electronic care records system.

Work in prisons around Integrated Drug Treatment System and the devleopment and launch of the children and young person's service -4Real have also increased the scope of treatment and support options.

Please use this website frequently and comment on what you find.

Best wishes,
Darren Archer
DAAT Manager
