Young People’s Centre - Ridgemount House
The Centre, which is based on the 4th Floor of Ridgemount House in Peterlee, is a partnership offering a wide range of services to under-19’s with substance misuse problems. One-to-one, outreach and group support, prescribing, alternative therapies, housing & homelessness advice, employment and training guidance and a full sexual health service for young people are all offered at the Centre. The Centre has a computer suite with free internet access as well as a young person’s room with TV, DVD, CD etc. There are also kitchen, shower and laundry facilities available for young people.
Services are accessible by referral to one of the Centre services or, in the case of the sexual health clinics (which are open to young people up to the age of 25), on a drop-in basis at designated times.
